Venezuela: Activists plan protest in Caracas, Oct. 6

Unionized education and government workers plan to hold a rally in Caracas Oct. 6, to demand payment they allege are owed to them, and improved benefits. Demonstrators intend to gather outside the Attorney General's Office in La Candelaria, downtown Caracas. The time of the protest has not been confirmed, but it is likely to start in the morning hours.

Localized transport disruptions are likely, as well as heightened security outside the Attorney General's Office. Widespread violence is not likely.
