Unionized public bus workers of the GO Transit system have agreed to end their strike in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario as of Nov. 11. The decision follows negotiations between the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1587 leaders and Metrolinx. GO Bus officials claim regular services will likely resume Nov. 12. The strike forced cancellations of the bus system serving the Greater Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario since Nov. 7. GO Transit trains have continued to operate without any changes.

Public transport disruptions will almost certainly continue in Toronto and the Greater Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario Nov. 11. Higher-than-usual traffic and overcrowding on other public transport services are likely. Lingering disruptions are probable through Nov. 12 as services normalize.
