Cyprus: Activists plan to protest in Paphos Nov. 12

Activists plan to protest at the Markarios III Monument in Paphos from 10:00 Nov. 12 to denounce government funding for the Grivas Museum. Dozens to hundreds of people could participate in the action.

Police will likely deploy to monitor the demonstration. Related security measures will probably prompt localized transport disruptions in the surrounding area. The event will likely pass peacefully; however, isolated scuffles between police and protesters remain possible.

Paphos is approximately 45 km (28 miles) west-northwest of Limassol.
