Brick manufacturers plan to protest in New Delhi Nov. 10 to denounce the rising cost of coal, goods, and services tax rates and alleged impractical policies impacting their businesses. Organizers will stage a sit-in protest at Ramlila Ground and march toward and surround (gherao) Parliament House. Activists may also march toward other prominent public squares, monuments, government buildings, or thoroughfares if security personnel prevent the planned march from occurring. The event may be well attended.

Authorities will almost certainly monitor the demonstration and may attempt to disperse the gathering if it is especially disruptive. Clashes between activists and police cannot be ruled out. Localized transport disruptions are likely, especially as protesters plan to march toward Parliament House and could block nearby roadways.
