The opposition Azimio la Umajo-One Kenya Coalition plans to hold a political rally at Kamukunji Grounds in Nairobi Nov. 30. Party leaders, including Raila Odinga, are organizing the demonstration to denounce a petition to remove four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) members. Hundreds of people could participate in the gathering. Odinga also announced plans to hold further nationwide rallies, including in Kakamega, Kisumu, Mombasa, and Nakuru, following the Nairobi gathering; however, he has yet to provide additional details regarding the future demonstrations.

Odinga claims President William Ruto is ousting the four IEBC commissioners for openly disagreeing with the commission's decision to declare Ruto the winner of the Aug. 9 presidential election. He also alleges that Ruto is attempting to influence the outcome of the 2027 elections.
