Celebrations marking the Qatari National Day will take place at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal Nov. 25-Dec. 18. Darb Al Saai is the largest venue for celebrating National Day, which falls on Dec. 18. The Ministry of Culture has prepared around 4,500 cultural, artistic, sports, and entertainment activities spread over 24 days. This year's celebrations are held on a larger scale as it coincides with the FIFA 2022 World Cup.

Authorities will likely increase security at Darb Al Saai during the celebrations. Large crowds could prompt localized transport disruptions near the event venue Nov. 25-Dec. 18.

Umm Salal is approximately 15 km (9.3 miles) north of Doha.
