Event

Civil organizations, including political parties and activist groups, will lead multiple demonstrations across Spain, Nov. 27. Protestors are denouncing government policies and demanding early elections. It is not known how many will attend each event. The principal event will be in Plaza del Colon in Madrid, starting at 12:00. Other events are possible, also at 12:00, at locations including:

  • Almeria: Plaza de la Constitucion

  • Albacete: Plaza la Catedral

  • Cadiz: Plaza de San Juan de Dios

  • Granada: Plaza del Carmen

  • Malaga: Avenida de Cervantes in

  • Zaragoza: Plaza de Nuestra. Sra. del Pilar

Similar events are possible in other towns and cities. Local authorities will likely deploy increased security for the protest events. Some localized ground transport disruptions are likely. Violence is not anticipated, isolated clashes between protesters and police are possible.
