Civil organizations to stage nationwide protests in Spain against government policies, Nov. 27. Increased security, disruptions likely.

Civil organizations, including political parties and activist groups, will lead multiple demonstrations across Spain, Nov. 27. Protestors are denouncing government policies and demanding early elections. It is not known how many will attend each event. The principal event will be in Plaza del Colon in Madrid, starting at 12:00. Other events are possible, also at 12:00, at locations including:
Almeria: Plaza de la Constitucion
Albacete: Plaza la Catedral
Cadiz: Plaza de San Juan de Dios
Granada: Plaza del Carmen
Malaga: Avenida de Cervantes in
Zaragoza: Plaza de Nuestra. Sra. del Pilar
Similar events are possible in other towns and cities. Local authorities will likely deploy increased security for the protest events. Some localized ground transport disruptions are likely. Violence is not anticipated, isolated clashes between protesters and police are possible.
