Recovery operations continue in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi as of late Nov. 30 following tornado activity Nov. 29-30. At least 34 tornadoes touched down across the affected states. Authorities have confirmed two fatalities in Boylston Community of North Montgomery, Alabama, after a tornado touched down early Nov. 30. Several structures in North Montgomery also sustained significant damage. Another tornado caused significant damage in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, and seriously injured two people.

Reports indicate that dozens of other structures were damaged across the affected states. Thousands were left without power late Nov. 29-early Nov. 30; as of late Nov. 30, power has been restored to most areas.

Emergency service response operations are ongoing in the impacted region and are almost certain to continue over the coming days. Associated responses and tornado damage are likely to result in localized ground and rail travel delays in the coming days.

Monitor local emergency broadcast channels and media for updates from the authorities. Confirm the status of road and rail routes as well as airports before traveling in the area. Heed the instructions of local officials. Charge battery-powered devices in case prolonged electricity outages occur.
