Ground handling staff suspend strike at Paphos and Larnaca airports, Cyprus, Dec. 15.

Event

Unionized ground handling staff at Paphos Airport (PFO) and Larnaca Airport (LCA) suspended a planned strike for Dec. 15 after agreeing to meet with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance. Union leaders announced that the strike will take place if an agreement is not reached with the government. The minister and union leaders are scheduled to meet at 12:30 Dec. 15.

Disruptions to airport operations and flights at PFO and LCA are possible if an agreement is not reached.

Advice

Confirm flights if booked to fly via PFO or LCA, Dec. 15. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Arrive early at the airport to allow additional time for processing. Consider alternative arrangements for critical travel.
