Authorities are responding to the discovery of an unexploded World War II-era bomb in Werftpark, Kiel, as of morning Dec. 11. Authorities have established a security zone and asked people to evacuate by 10:00; at least 7500 people are affected. Officials are also setting roadblocks. Ostring road will be closed between Stoschstrabe and Grobe Ziegelstrabe from 09:00. Authorotoes have established an evacuation center at Hans Christian Andersen School.

It is not clear how long the disposal operations will last. Lingering disruptions are likely as officials conclude operations and traffic returns to normal.

Avoid the area. Plan alternative routes if necessary and allow extra time to reach destinations in the affected area.
