Lingering transport and business disruptions likely in Pueblo, Mexico, Dec. 4 following large pro-government march.

Informational

Event

Transport and business disruptions will likely continue in Puebla into the evening of Dec. 4 in the wake of a major march that took place earlier in the day. Thousands of activists assembled on Avenida Reforma before marching to the Zocalo park as a show of support for President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's Fourth Transformation (4T) movement. Prominent politicians participated in the gathering.

Authorities will almost certainly maintain a heightened security posture until all of the participants disperse completely.

Advice

Avoid the area of Avenida Reforma and the Zocalo until crowds of demonstrators have fully dispersed. Allow additional time for travel in central Puebla into the evening of Dec. 4. Heed all official transport and security advisories.
