The Labour Pary (LP) will hold a political rally at the Liberation Stadium, also known as General Yakubu Gowon Stadium, from 10:00 Dec. 22. Peter Obi, the LP's presidential candidate, and his Vice Presidential candidate Yusuf Datti will speak at the event. The rally is likely to be well attended.
Heightened security and localized disruptions are likely around the event location. Although the event is likely to pass without significant violence, clashes with security forces cannot be ruled out. The threat of violence will increase if counter-protesters attend the rally.
