An explosion occurred on a railway track in the Tha Pho area of Sadao District, Songkhla Province, the morning of Dec. 6. The blast reportedly killed three workers repairing the tracks after an earlier explosion Dec. 3, which derailed a freight train. Reports indicate that several other individuals are injured. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Rail service disruptions will likely continue in the area over the coming days until the scene is cleared and the tracks repaired.
