Authorities are responding to a bomb threat at several places in Yao, Osaka Prefecture, Jan. 16. The affected locations include two Osaka University of Economics and Law campuses, Yao Airport (YAO), and Yao City Hall. Osaka University has closed both campuses as a precaution.

An increased security presence, including cordons and road closures, and localized transport disruptions are possible at the affected locations in the coming hours as investigations continue. Flight delays and disruptions are probable at YAO through Jan. 16.
