Militants associated with the Coalition des Patriotes pour le Change (CPC) launched an attack against government forces in the village of Ndah, in the northern Central African Republic (CAR), on Feb. 14. During the assault, at least 16 soldiers and one rebel were killed, while 24 other soldiers were reportedly abducted. In the coming days, heightened security and further clashes are possible in the vicinity of Ndah.
Ndah is located approximately 50 km (31 miles) from Birao.
