Cambodia: Authorities suspend river transport near Prek Phnov Bridge in Phnom Penh 06:00 March 15-18:00 March 16 due to maintenance

Officials suspend river transport near Prek Phnov Bridge in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, through March 16 due to utility construction work.

Informational

Event

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has suspended the operation of all river transport near Prek Phnov Bridge in Phnom Penh 06:00 March 15-18:00 March 16. The purpose of the move is to allow for the installation of water pipes at the bottom of the Tonle Sap River.

The closure will cause disruptions to passenger and freight transport on portions of the Tonle Sab River, particularly north of the Prek Phnov Bridge. Disruptions could extend after the waterway reopens as port authorities deal with any backlog.

Advice

Plan accordingly for river transport disruptions along the affected area of the waterway into at least late March 16.
