The Forces Vives de Guinee (FVG) civil society coalition has called for a protest in Conakry March 9, to denounce the ongoing transition period, demand the liberation of imprisoned FNDC members, and the immediate lifting of a ban on demonstrations. Participants will gather at the Tannerie Roundabout and march to the People's Palace, via Yimbaya, Ahmed Sekou Toure International Airport (CKY), Gbessia Kondebougni, Bonfi carrier, Kenien, Madina, Donka, and Moussodougou. The exact time for the protest remains unclear, however, opposition protests tend to start at 09:00.

Authorities will likely deploy additional security personnel to prevent protests from taking place. Clashes with security forces are possible; given that protests are currently banned, police are likely to disperse demonstrators. Localized transport and business disruptions are likely near demonstrations.
