Authorities have announced that water outages in parts of Noumea will continue through at least 20:00 March 14 due to pipeline damages Disruptions started earlier the same day in several regions, including Anse-Vata, Magenta, Motor-Pool, Trianon, Vallee-des-Colons, and Val-Plaisance. Officials have also imposed traffic restrictions, mainly along Boulevard Exterieur and Rue Auguste Benebig, to facilitate restoration works.

Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water. Transport disruptions will likely continue until repairs are complete, and supply normalizes.
