South Korea to lift facemask mandate for public transport from March 20. Facemasks remain compulsory in certain healthcare settings.

South Korean authorities will ease facemask requirements from March 20. Individuals no longer need to wear a facemask on public transport. However, individuals will still be required to wear facemasks in hospitals, pharmacies, and other medical facilities that house vulnerable patients.

International Travel Restrictions
Visa-free and visa-waiver programs have resumed, with some exceptions. Passport holders from eligible countries must obtain an electronic travel authorization (K-ETA) at least 72 hours before entry; to access the form, click here.
