Various civil society and labor groups plan to protest in downtown Seoul March 25. Organizers have announced the following demonstrations:
11:00: A Takekwondo Festival will take place at Gwanghwamun Square and Sejong-daero.
14:00: Workers affiliated with the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) will gather in the Daehak-ro area before marching through Jongno and Euljiro to Seoul City Hall.
17:00: Several civil society groups, including the National People's Action, will demonstrate at Seoul Plaza.
Hundreds to several thousand people could participate in the events. Authorities will almost certainly increase security measures around the demonstrations. Officers may also implement traffic-control measures in protest-affected areas.
Localized transport and business disruptions are possible during the rallies, especially if activists occupy nearby roads. Traffic congestion is likely along Sejong-daero, Jongno, and Eulji-ro. While violence is unlikely at the rallies, clashes between protesters and police remain possible.
