A magnitude-5.2 earthquake occurred in northeastern Afghanistan at 10:19 AFT May 28. The epicenter was about 36 km (22 miles) southeast of Jurm, Afghanistan. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 223 km (139 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout northeastern Afghanistan, southern Tajikistan, and far northern Pakistan.
