Ukraine: Drone strikes and explosions reported in Kyiv early May 28

Reports indicate that Russia launched air strikes in Kyiv early May 28. According to initial reports, debris from a downed aerial target killed one person and injured three others in Holosiivskyi district. Fires also broke out in Holosiivskyi, Pechersk, and Solomyansky districts due to falling drone fragments. Emergency personnel are responding to the fires.

Further strikes are possible. Airstrikes typically target energy and infrastructure facilities; electricity and water supply interruptions are likely. Heightened security will be deployed, and travel and business disruptions are likely to continue.
