Myanmar: Explosions occurred in Naypyidaw June 12

Two explosions occurred in Napyidaw June 12. Belated reports indicate that the blasts took place in front of Lewe Township Police Station at around 17:00 and at a security post near Myanmar International Convention Centre 2 at approximately 20:00. The number of casualties is unclear. No group has taken responsibility for the attacks.

Explosions continue to occur in major cities in Myanmar amid ongoing civil unrest following the 2021 military coup.
