Pakistan: Explosion in Khar, Bajaur District, July 30 /update 1

An explosion occurred at a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) political gathering in Khar, Bajaur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, July 30. The cause of the blast is unclear; however, initial reports suggest a suicide bomber detonated at the site. The blast has killed at least 20 people and injured a further 50. The casualty numbers are likely to be adjusted in the coming hours.
