The blast took place at about 17:45, causing significant damage to the roadway and several vehicles. Preliminary information indicates that at least 10 people were injured in the incident; there have as yet been no reports of fatalities. The cause remains under investigation; however, authorities believe an underground gas line produced the explosion. Emergency services are advising the public to avoid the area.
