Sweden: Quran-burning protest planned in central Stockholm July 20

Authorities will likely deploy heavy security at the Iraqi Embassy in Stockholm's Ostermalm area on the afternoon of July 20 due to a planned Quran-burning protest. The protest will occur from 13:00 outside the embassy on Baldersgatan.

While attendance at the protest will likely be low, increased security measures will prompt localized disruptions. Several other embassies are located in the area; access to these embassies, as well as to the Iraqi Embassy, may be restricted during the protest.
