Chile: Protesters plan to gather outside La Moneda Palace in Santiago Aug. 11

Activists opposing President Gabriel Boric plan to protest in central Santiago on Aug. 11. Participants will gather from 10:00 outside La Moneda Palace, located opposite Plaza de la Constitucion.

The protest will likely cause traffic delays in central Santiago, including on Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, also known as La Alameda. Heightened security is likely in the area. Clashes are possible, especially if security forces attempt to disperse demonstrators.
