Protesters have built roadblocks along the Avenida Regional, near Politecnico Jaime Isaza Cadavid, in Medellin, Aug. 15. Reports indicate demonstrators attacked vehicles driving on the avenue before using trucks to block all traffic in the area. College authorities have ordered all students, professors, and employees to evacuate the campus.

Heightened security and significant transport disruptions in the area are likely for the coming hours. Clashes between protesters and police are possible, as are some acts of violence from demonstrators to people and property near the demonstration.
