Air Caraibes (TX) employees in Guadeloupe, represented by the National Union of Commercial Flight Crew (Syndicat National des Personnels Navigants Commerciaux, SNPNC), have announced plans to strike Aug. 11-15. The work stoppage may continue beyond Aug. 15, depending on the result of the negotiations regarding salary demands. The strike is likely to mostly affect operations via the airline's hub, Pointe-a-Pitre International Airport (PTP).
