Warning

Event

Air Caraibes (TX) employees in Guadeloupe, represented by the National Union of Commercial Flight Crew (Syndicat National des Personnels Navigants Commerciaux, SNPNC), will continue their strike through Aug. 25. The work stoppage, which began on Aug. 11, may continue beyond Aug. 25, depending on the result of the negotiations regarding salary demands. The airline management claimed the strike extension will have a limited impact on flight schedules due to charter flights and non-striking employees.

The strike is most likely to affect operations via the airline's hub, Pointe-a-Pitre International Airport (PTP). Disruptions to Air Caraibes operations, including flights, are likely for the duration of the strike.

Advice

Confirm flights if booked to travel with Air Caraibes. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Allow extra time for checking in at affected airports.
