Flight disruptions are ongoing at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) in Catania, Sicily, as of Aug. 1, as authorities continue to impose restrictions following a fire that damaged the terminal building on July 16. Some airlines have canceled scheduled services, including Air Malta (KM), which has canceled flights scheduled Aug. 1-2, and Jet2 (LS), which has canceled services scheduled Aug. 1-3. Other scheduled services are subject to ad hoc cancelations or diversion to other airports on the island of Sicily, including Trapani (TPS), Comiso (CIY), and Palermo (PMO).
Further short-notice changes to airport operations are possible. It is unclear when regular services will resume.
