Air travel disruptions continue across the UK on Aug. 29, following ATC system failure; travel delays ongoing.

Disruption to air travel is likely to persist, Aug. 29, following a nationwide Air Traffic Control (ATC) network failure on Aug. 28. Authorities have warned that disruptions may continue in the coming days. The UK's two busiest airports, London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW), both announced that schedules were returning to normal on Aug. 29; however, they have advised passengers to confirm bookings with airlines before traveling.
Knock-on delays are likely through at least the end of the day on Aug. 29. Some disruptions may continue until Aug. 30.
