On Sept. 1, clashes erupted amid a rally in the Antarwali Sarathi area when police used baton charges and reportedly fired live ammunition in the air as activists allegedly pelted stones at law enforcement officials; the incident has left at least a dozen people wounded. Incidents of arson have purportedly occurred along the Dhule-Solapur Highway. Related commercial disruptions were also reported in the Wadigodri area of Jalna on Aug. 31.
