Nigeria: Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos, Plateau State, to be closed for runway maintenance Sept. 23-29

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) states that Yakubu Gowon Airport (JOS) in Jos, Plateau State, will be closed Sept. 23-29 for runway maintenance. The airport operates domestic flights, including to and from Lagos and Abuja. Officials may extend maintenance work with little notice.

Flight disruptions are likely to continue even after the airport reopens as staff work to clear the backlog.
