Authorities will dispose of a WWII-era bomb in Bukit Timah in the afternoon of Sept. 26. Crews discovered the 100-kg bomb during construction work on Upper Bukit Timah Road. Authorities are evacuating people in a 200 meter (218 yards) area around the disposal site. The evacuation radius will prompt road closures on Bukit Panjang Flyover and Upper Bukit Rimah Road between 11:00 and 19:00.

Authorities will almost certainly deploy increased security to monitor road closures and evacuation operations. Localized transport disruptions will likely persist in the immediate aftermath of the operation. Increased traffic congestion is likely on streets adjacent to the evacuation zone.
