South Korea: Activists plan to rally in central Seoul from 19:00 Sept. 21

Activists affiliated with the Candlelight Movement plan to protest in central Seoul, 19:00 Sept. 21 to denounce President Yoon Seok-yeol's policies and demand his resignation. Protesters will gather outside Exit 2 of the National Assembly Station. Previous actions organized by the same group have drawn several hundred participants, and have passed off peacefully.

Authorities will likely monitor the protest. Localized transport disruptions may occur, as demonstrators have occupied or marched on roadways during previous protests. While violence is unlikely, minor skirmishes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out if activists attempt to breach any securit cordons.
