UK: Climate activists stage demonstration at Perenco HQ in London, Sept. 1

Climate activists led by Extinction Rebellion (XR) are staging a protest at the headquarters of the hydrocarbon company Perenco in Hanover Square, London, Sept. 1. In coordinated protests, attendees are denouncing Perenco's fossil fuel exploitation in Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the UK. The protest is likely to continue through the afternoon, Sept. 1.
