Authorities reportedly evacuated the airports of Lille (LIL), Lyon (LYN), Nantes (NTE), Nice (NCE), Paris-Beauvais (BVA), and Toulouse (TLS) due to bomb threats on the morning of Oct. 18. The threat was reportedly received from an anonymous source. Law enforcement is currently deployed to monitor the evacuations and secure the airport buildings. Flights remain suspended until further notice from all airports concerned.

Authorities will likely maintain heightened security throughout Oct. 18; flight delays and cancellations are likely in LIL, LYN, NTE, NCE, BVA, and TLS after the airports will resume operations and staff works to reduce flight backlog. The disruptions could have a knock-on effect at other airports in France. Additional airports nationwide could be evacuated in the event further bomb threats are received.
