Further protests are possible in the KM5 area of Dubreka over the coming days following clashes that erupted between activists and police on Oct. 30. Localized violence broke out as residents blocked roads and threw stones at vehicles during a demonstration to protest unreliable electrical service and poor road maintenance. Authorities responded by using teargas to disperse the group; at least eight people were arrested during the incident.

Localized transportation and business disruptions are possible during any future protests that may materialize. Authorities may also close roads and shut down public transport routes to prevent activists from gathering.
