The travel advisory followed the Oct. 20 ordered evacuation of qualified family members and non-essential personnel from the US Embassy in Baghdad and the US Consulate General in Erbil amid increased security threats against US government personnel and interests likely over the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
