A large crowd is protesting at the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania Oct. 26 to denounce a new property tax model proposed by the government. Over 2,000 participants are gathered in front of the building. Authorities have deployed increased security to monitor the gathering and have closed one of Parliament's entrances.

Heightened security will likely remain in the area until after the protesters vacate the area; localized road travel disruptions are likely near the demonstration site.
