Members of the National Assembly of Electrical Energy (Asamblea Nacional de Usuarios de Energia Electrica) are protesting along Calzada de Tlalpan near the General Anaya metro station in Mexico City on Oct. 10. The purpose of the action is to demand fair rates for electricity. Activists from the same organization are also protesting on Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza near the Guelatao metro station. Protesters are reportedly blocking traffic at each location.

Heightened security and transport disruptions are likely in the area for the duration of the demonstration. Clashes between activists and police cannot be ruled out, especially if police attempt to forcibly disperse the demonstrators.
