Moldova: Moldova Support Platform summit to occur at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau Oct. 17

The fourth Moldova Support Platform summit will occur at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau Oct. 17. Heads of state and other dignitaries from over 30 countries will attend the event, including the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and Romania, as well as Moldovan President Maia Sandhu. Authorities state that traffic restrictions will be in place for several roads in the area, particularly along Maria Cebotari and 31 August 1989 streets, 08:00-17:00.

Heightened security measures are likely in the affected area for the duration of the event. Associated transport disruptions are probable. Protests may occur around the summit venue and government buildings.
