Unionized postal workers have suspended planned protests scheduled to take place at the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization building on D. I. Mendeleev Street in Bucharest 10:00-12:00 Oct. 12-13. Earlier demonstrations organized as part of the same campaign took place as planned Oct. 10-11. The purpose of the action had been to denounce an alleged lack of transparency in the government's wage system for postal workers. The suspension of further protests follows an agreement by labor leaders and management to conduct talks regarding the workers' demands.
