Romania: Unionized postal workers to demonstrate daily in central Bucharest Oct. 9-13

Unionized postal workers plan to hold daily protests at the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization building on D. I. Mendeleev Street in Bucharest from 10:00-12:00 Oct. 9-13. The purpose of the demonstrations is to denounce an alleged lack of transparency in the government's wage system for postal workers. It is unclear how many participants the event may draw.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site for around the scheduled protest times. Though unlikely, isolated skirmishes between demonstrators and police cannot be ruled out.
