Authorities will likely increase security in Al-Miqdadiya District, Diyala Governorate, following a shooting and bomb attack near Amraniyah Nov. 30. Reports indicate that two roadside bombs damaged a vehicle before gunmen began shooting at the passengers. The incident has resulted in at least 10 fatalities and more than 14 injuries. Security forces have imposed a curfew in the area. Search operations are underway to arrest the perpetrators.
Security-related transport disruptions and movement restrictions are likely over the coming days. Further similar incidents cannot be ruled out.
