Unionized transport works plan to conduct a strike across Italy on Nov. 6. Unionized flight attendants and navigation staff employed by EasyJet (U2) will hold a work stoppage that will last from 00:01 to 23:59 nationwide except at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) and Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR), where work will stop from 10:00-14:00 and 10:30-14:30 respectively. Corresponding with this, unionized security staff at VCE and Treviso Airport (TSF) will hold a walkout from 10:00-14:00, while procurement staff will hold a work stoppage from 10:30-14:30 at FLR. Additionally, the following local public transport strikes have been announced:
Genoa: Unionized AMT Genova public transport staff to halt work on urban services 11:30-15:30 and provincial services 10:30-14:30; additionally, provincial ticket office workers will walk out 10:30-14:00.
Bologna: Unionized Autoguidovie workers will strike from 00:01-23:59.
Trieste: Unionized Trieste Trasporti staff will strike from 09:00-13:00.
EasyJet flight disruptions are likely nationwide. Delays in clearing security are likely at VCE and TSF, while operational delays are likely at FLR. Transport disruptions are likely in Genoa, Bologna, and Trieste. Picketing is possible at the affected airports.
