Mexico: Protest scheduled in Mexico City Nov. 6 to demand the reduction of the workweek

Activists to protest outside Chamber of Deputies in Mexico City, Mexico, 17:00 Nov. 6, to demand reduced workweek.

Warning

Activists plan to hold a protest outside the Chamber of Deputies in the Venustiano Carranza borough of Mexico City starting at 17:00 Nov. 6 in support of a proposal to reduce the workweek from 48 to 40 hours. Federal legislator Susana Prieto organized the demonstration to pressure other members of Congress to support the bill.

Hundreds are likely to participate in the rally, which will likely prompt heightened security in the area; transport and business disruptions in the neighborhood are possible.

Avoid all protests as a precaution. Allow additional time to reach your destination if operating in Mexico City the afternoon of Nov. 6.
