Mexico: Women's rights activists march in downtown Mexico City Nov. 3

Women's rights activists affiliated with the Voices of Absence have launched a protest march in downtown Mexico City on Nov. 3 to commemorate victims of femicide. Participants gathered at the Zocalo before marching towards the intersection between Avenida Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida Insurgentes Sur. The march has led to traffic disruptions.

Although the action should remain largely peaceful, authorities will likely deploy an increased police presence near the demonstration as a precaution. Localized transport and business disruptions are likely along the march route.
