Road transport disruptions have been reported in several areas of Lagos Nov. 13. The congestion is likely due to a protest planned by commercial drivers. There are also reports that a road traffic accident left two individuals dead in the Gbagada area, causing traffic gridlock. Affected locations include the Gbagada, Ikeja bus stop, Oshodi, and Iyana Ipaja areas. Security forces have been deployed.
Increased security and road transport disruptions will likely persist over the coming hours; road access to and from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) may be obstructed. Clashes remain possible if security forces attempt to disperse overly disruptive crowds.
